Acceptance of Terms

By using Loot, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

Loot is a personal budgeting tool that connects to your New Zealand bank accounts via Akahu to help you manage your spending using the envelope budgeting method. Loot is not a financial advisor and does not provide financial advice.

Your Account

Bank Connections

Loot connects to your bank accounts through Akahu, a licensed third-party provider. By connecting your accounts, you authorise Akahu to retrieve your transaction data on behalf of Loot. Loot only has read-only access to your transaction data — we cannot move money or make changes to your bank accounts.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Limitation of Liability

Loot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the app. Transaction data is provided by your bank via Akahu and may occasionally be delayed or incomplete.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Loot after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
